Skill Description

The art of transmuting (transforming) substances and making magical potions. With alchemy, a character can change one compound into another (Ex. Lead to Silver), but cannot change Lead to Gold (alchemists were always trying, but never did). He can make all manner of magical potions. To use Alchemy, the character needs access to at least basic "lab" equipment and all the required components to make his potions. A bonus or penalty can be applied as to the quality of the equipment he is using. A failed skill check can generate a useless potion, poison (if that is not what the alchemist is trying to make), or even explode.

The alchemist can gain a bonus if he is making a potion that relates to a spell he has memorized or a skill he already has.
