Anthropology

Skill Description

Anthropology is the study of prehistory. Anthropology studies history and historical events that have not left any evidence in the written word, but yet has left physical evidence of its existence.

Anthropology is broken up into several subfields:

Cultural Anthropology is the study of cultures, both modern and primitive. It studies how people in the culture interact with each other and others out side the culture.

Archaeology studies relics left behind by cultures that no longer exist. In most cases these cultures studied have no written history, existing only through the artifacts found for them.

Paleontology studies ancient and extinct animals and creatures.

Although an Anthropologist will know bits of pieces from each subfield, he will normally specialize in a specific civilization or era.
